Sensors

Qual-Tron, Inc. manufactures a full range of Unattended Ground Sensors which include:

  • Break Wire Sensors
  • Seismic Sensors
  • Magnetic Sensors
  • Passive Infrared Sensors
  • And Active Infrared Break Beam Sensors.

In addition we manufacture a Hydrophone Water Sensor designed to detect boat activity in waterways. All sensors are compatible with Qual-Tron's Intrusion Detection Systems listed below.

Intrusion Detection Systems

QTI manufactures three Intrusion Detection Systems which include:

  • MIDS Mini Intrusion Detection System
  • MIDS-II Mini Intrusion Detection System (Modified)
  • and EMIDS Enhanced Mini Intrusion Detection System.

All of the systems are compact portable systems that operate on standard 9 volt DC batteries. They are user friendly and require a minimum amount of training. All units can be programmed in 1-3 steps using only a small screwdriver. All three systems provide instantaneous alarms by sending a digitally encoded RF message from the transmitter to a receiver. The message is either a 20 bit or 29 bit message format. The QTI Intrusion Detection Systems are compatible with the SEIWG-005 format. Messages are displayed on Hand Held Receiver LCD displays which show the transmitter ID code and additional data messages.

Data Logging Systems

QTI also manufactures Data Logging Systems which include base station receivers and ability to log and record the sensor activity with dates and times. These include:

  • The original MidsComm Logging System
  • The EMIDS Mapping-Logging System
  • And the EC3NS Visual Confirmation System.

Relays

QTI also manufactures relays and power pack assemblies for the various systems above. The relays are compatible with all systems (MIDS, MIDS-II and EMIDS).

Surveillance Equipment

Listed on the Equipment Page are devices that will provide directional information, act as triggers or relays to turn on cameras or videos. These can be setup in a "hardwire" or RF configuration.

Contract Manufacturing

Qual-Tron also assembles printed circuit boards as a contract manufacturer. Capabilities include operator hand as well as automated surface mount assembly.
